Avneet Grewal

Professional experience:

Avneet is an experienced employment and labour lawyer in Deloitte Legal Canada’s Employment and Labour Group. Avneet was called to Ontario Bar in 2011. She spent the first seven years of her practice as in-house counsel to Canada’s largest school board, before acting as in-house counsel to Canada’s largest workers’ compensation organization. Prior to joining Deloitte Legal, Avneet served as acting General Counsel of a government agency.

Avneet has advised extensively on human resources issues involving bargaining and non-bargaining unit employees, including on recruitments and terminations, employee conduct, and human rights issues. She has litigated throughout her career, appearing before the Grievance Settlement Board, Ontario Labour Relations Board, Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, and other administrative tribunals.

Avneet is licensed to practice law in Ontario and British Columbia.
