Sara K. McCracken is a tax and corporate/commercial lawyer at Deloitte Legal Canada LLP.
Her practice includes providing domestic and international tax planning advice; preparing cross-border intercompany agreements; advising on business acquisitions, restructurings, and reorganizations; setting up business and other entities for Canadian inbound investment; and structuring and implementing a wide variety of corporate/commercial transactions. Sara also assists taxpayers in making voluntary disclosures and resolving their tax disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency.
Sara was the gold medalist in earning her BA (Political Science) from Queen's University in 1993. She received her LL.B. from the Faculty of Law at the University of British Columbia in 1996, and was admitted to the Law Society of British Columbia in 1997. Sara subsequently graduated with an LL.M. in Tax (First Class Distinction) from the London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London, while on sabbatical in 2002. Sara also has completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax course.

Sara has written and presented on a variety of tax-related topics, including international tax law developments, treaty shopping, directors' liability for tax debts, and various types of business vehicles.
