Christian Pérodeau

Christian Pérodeau is tax counsel in the Quebec City office of Deloitte Legal Canada LLP.

Christian has worked in tax for more than 30 years. He began in private practice then continued his career at Revenu Québec and at the Ministère des Finances du Québec. At the Ministère des Finances du Québec, Mr. Pérodeau collaborated in the creation and assessment of the Quebec tax policy and participated in several important files related to tax incentive measures for businesses, notably tax credits related to scientific research and experimental development, information technologies, multimedia titles, as well as the cultural sector. In recent years, Mr. Pérodeau also played a leading role in implementing measures to ensure integrity and equity in the Quebec tax system.

Christian has been a lecturer in the Master’s program in tax at the Université de Sherbrooke where he taught certain specifics about the Quebec tax system. At the same time, he also taught this subject, on a few occasions, to the joint Master’s program in law, tax option, at HEC Montréal and the law faculty at the Université de Montréal.

He has also been invited to speak at conferences and facilitate training sessions with various organizations, including the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Association de planification fiscale et financière, Revenu Québec and Investissement Québec.

Christian was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1987. He has a Master’s degree in tax from the Université de Sherbrooke and a Bachelor’s degree in law from the Université de Montréal.
