Dorian Fenton

Dorian is an Associate at Deloitte Legal Canada LLP in the Calgary office.

His practice focuses on tax litigation and dispute resolution. He regularly assists clients in resolving their disputes with the federal and provincial revenue authorities. This includes disputes over income tax, provincial tax, sales tax, and customs duties. Dorian has experience dealing with the revenue authorities at all stages of the audit and objections processes and in appeals of adverse assessments to the relevant tribunals and courts. Dorian has represented clients before the Tax Court of Canada, provincial courts, and has assisted on matters before the Canadian International Trade Tribunal.

Dorian was called to the Law Society of Alberta in 2019. Before this, he received a Juris Doctor (Distinction) from the University of Alberta in 2018 and a Bachelor of Commerce (Distinction) from the University of Alberta in 2015.

Before joining Deloitte Legal, Dorian clerked for the Judges of the Tax Court of Canada. Prior to that, he worked with a prominent regional law firm headquartered in Edmonton and had a summer position in the legal department of a large Alberta-based Treasury Branch.
